Description
RFP OAM-2003-N-0026, Microsoft Premier Services. The purpose of this modification #3 is to provide responses to questions received and to issue a closing date for submission of questions on this requirement. 1. Are you looking for a contractor to: (1) coordinate a subscription to Microsoft Corporation's Premier Support Services, or (2) actually provide the services described in the REQUIREMENTS section of the solicitation? Answer: GAO's combined synopsis/solicitation OAM-2003-N-0026 published June 24, 2003 at www.fbo.gov documents GAO's requirement for an annual subscription to Microsoft Corporation's Premier Support Services. This Service is solely provided by Microsoft Corporation. GAO is not seeking this type of support to be provided by other than Microsoft Corporation under their Premier Support Services program. Because Microsoft does resell Premier Support Services through various resellers, we identified this as an opportunity to compete for best price. Whether the service is provided by Microsoft, or through a reseller, is not of prime importance. What is critical is that what is acquired is the Premier Support Services subscription offered by Microsoft Corporation. 2. Does the license need to be purchased? Answer: GAO intends to award a contract as the requirements are stated in GAO?s combined synopsis/solicitation OAM-2003-N-0026, published June 24, 2003. GAO will be acquiring a subscription to Microsoft Premier Support Services. 3. What would the monthly time requirement to support section and where/how are the roundtable discussions held? Answer: Technical Information Services and Roundtable Discussions are standard features of Microsoft?s Premier Support Services. GAO does not collect usage data on these standard features. GAO will not entertain further questions.
