Description
The contractor shall provide Logistical Support Services to staff the Atlantic Fleet Logistics Support Center (AFLSC), Norfolk, Virginia. AFLSC?s mission is To improve ship readiness by providing material expediting for all Issue Priority Group One requirements generated by COMSUBLANT, COMNAVSURFLANT, and COMNAVAIRLANT. Contractor will perform material expediting functions on a twenty-four hour a day, seven days a week basis. Tasks will include (1) performing high priority requisition processing, data entry, data retrieval, inventory control messages, stock availability and material expediting, (2) providing logistics and liaison services of identifying, analyzing, and resolving critical requisitions and customer discrepancies for pre-deploying and deployed afloat U.S. Navy units, and (3) utilizing DoD and DoN material expediting and transportation databases and systems to include Stock Point Logistics Integrated Communication Environment (SPLICE), Navy Integrated Storage, Distribution Standard System (DSS), Visual Logistics Information Processing System (V-LIPS), Customer Account Tracking Systems (CATS), and One Touch/FISC Supply System. The work under this contract shall be performed at The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center located on the Naval Station, Norfolk, Virginia. The resulting contract will be for the base period of 01 Jan 2004 through 31 Dec 2004 with four one-year option periods. The total estimated requisitions to be processed yearly is 34,000. NAICS 541990 applies. This requirement will be issued under full and open competition in accordance with FAR, Part 6.1. FAR Clause 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services, and FAR Clause 52.219-4 Notice of Evaluation Preference for HUBZone Small Business Concerns shall be incorporated into the solicitation/contract. This requirement is a follow-on to delivery order 3177 under contract N00140-01-D-E405 with Resource Consultants, Inc., 2650 Park Tower Drive, Suite 600, Vienna, Virginia 22182-3859. The current delivery order was due to expire 30 Sep 2003 but will be extended to 30 Dec 2003. Potential offerors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will only be available by downloading the documents at tp://www.fedbizops.gov. This office no longer issues hardcopy solicitations.
