Description

This is a modification to the notice originally posted on July 22, 2003. The due date in the text was changed to correspond to the response date listed elsewhere in this notice. No other changes were made. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared IAW the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Therefore, this synopsis shall serve as a request for quotation; numbered F41621-03-T-0007, which seeks proposals based on information contained in the synopsis. This synopsis and incorporated provisions/clauses are in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-14. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this acquisition is 423430 (100 employees). It is the government?s intent to award as a sole source under authority of FAR 6.302 to ANTARA.net, 747 Camden Ave., Ste A, Campbell, CA 95008. The Government wishes to acquire the following: software and hardware on an all or none basis. Substitutions will not be allowed. The Government intends to acquire these items from ANTARA.net: P/N: 750-00010-01 FlameThrower/II Chassis, 2 Gigabit Ethernet, 10/100/1000 Copper high performance modules Standard 5.1 Webstressor software, 1 each; P/N 740-00005-01 AfterBurner 2 Port GE Media Module 10/100/1000 Copper, 2 each; P/N 580-00002-01 FlameThrower Firewall Stressor Software, 1 each; P/N 580-00004-01 SSL Stressor Software; 1 each P/N 580-00005-01 Streaming Stressor (RTSP) Software, 1 each; P/N 580-00002-01 FlameThrower Firewall Stressor Software, 1 each; P/N 910-00015-01 Annual extended Maintenance Contract, 1 each. Should offers be received from other than the sole source, ANTARA.net, the Government will consider all prices during the evaluation with the award to be made to the lowest total evaluated price to the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice on intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received prior to date of closure will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This acquisition will be processed using the simplified acquisition procedures. The following Provisions/Clauses apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; and FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes of Executive Orders-Commercial Items. Offeror shall include a complete copy of the provisions of FAR 52.212-3, Offeror's Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items with their offer. DFAR 252.204-7004, Required Central Contractor Registration applies. Awards cannot be made to contractors who are not registered in the Central Contractor Registration at time of award.
