Description

THIS REQUIREMENT IS SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES ONLY. The NAICS code is 541330 with a size standard of $4.0 mil. The Semiconductor Electronics Division of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement to automate the formation of supported planar lipid membranes in microfluidic systems. The specific tasks are described in the Statement of Work included in the solicitation. It is anticipated that the solicitation for this project will be issued on or about July 28, 2003, utilizing FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The performance period will be approx. six (6) months. The Government anticipates the award of a fixed price purchase order on or about Aug. 18, 2003. The competitive solicitation, all amendments, and any questions related to this procurement will be made available via the internet at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The solicitation will only be available via the internet at the above website. Potential offerors are responsible for accessing the website. Interested parties must respond to the solicitation in order to be considered for award of any resultant Purchase Order. There is no written solicitation document available, telephone requests will not be honored, and no bidders list will be maintained.
