- Description
- The purpose of this notice is to modify the previous notice that was posted under Reference Number-N00019-03-P1-TK037 and inform interested parties that the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River, Maryland, intends to award a sole source contract to Raytheon Company, 7700 Arlington Blvd, Falls Church, VA to continue the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Tactical Control System (TCS) System Development and Demonstration Phase. This contract will include: continued development of TCS level 5 control of the Navy?s Global Hawk Maritime Demonstration (GHMD) Program; developing TCS to be integrated onto an aircraft carrier; modify TCS and support integration into the Navy?s Tactical Support Center; TCS modifications to support Fire Scout; and the development of TCS to Air Vehicle and Payload interface kits. These TCS interface kits will contain the data needed to interface a UAV and/or a payload to TCS as well as simulation of the TCS side of the interface. All software development for this effort will be built upon the modularity developed during TCS Block 2 efforts. This software build will incorporate the defined levels of functionality for the GHMD System into the common software build. Raytheon Company is the incumbent contractor for engineering and development of the TCS and possesses the knowledge of the TCS design, operational requirements, capabilities, and the expertise required to successfully provide these supplies and services in an accurate and timely manner. The estimated period of performance is January 2004 to January 2006 with two one-year contract options to support modifications required by the GHMD program. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Responses to this notice can be sent via email directly to warnerlm@navair.navy.mil . See notes 22 and 26.
