Description

NAICS Code 236220. Work includes, but is not limited to: provide and install one new 15' x 8' bullet resistant security enclosure, one new bullet resistant door and doorframe, approximately 152 square feet of new bullet resistant sheets to existing closet, one new camera and one new electric door strike. All work will be performed at the Federal Building/U.S. Post Office/Courthouse, Pierre, South Dakota. Security clearances will be required for all workers. Work to be completed within 30 calendar days after notice to proceed, to be issued after receipt of all material on site. Estimated cost range is between $25,000 and $100,000. The solicitation will be issued July 29, 2003, with offers due on August 20, 2003. Anticipated award date is August 27, 2003. Information regarding a site visit will be announced in the solicitation. The solicitation will be NOT made available electronically. Paper copies of the solicitation will be made available. Requests for paper copies must be made in writing to the Contracting Officer at PO Box 19, Aberdeen, SD 57402. Fax requests will be accepted at 605-226-7305. The request must be accompanied by the Document Security Notice (see below). This procurement is being conducted on an unrestricted basis in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All responsible sources submitting an offer will be considered. A site visit is recommended. The subject specifications and drawings for this solicitation include Sensitive But Unclassified building information (SBU). For reasons of security and before release of SBU information, the requester must complete and sign the Document Security Notice (see Document Security Notice post in conjunction with this synopsis in FedBizOpps). All of the following information must be submitted and provided by the requester via the spaces provided in the Notice: 1) Copy of business license (or other documentation granted by the state or local jurisdiction to conduct business); 2) Company's Dun and Bradstreet number; and 3) Valid Tax Identification Number. The Notice shall be submitted to the point of contact cited herein. No e-mail copies will be accepted; however, facsimiles will be accepted. After verification of the preceding information, the requester will be designated as an authorized user and a copy of the specifications and drawings will be sent to the address the requester has provided. Please read the notice carefully as it contains additional requirements and information regarding SBU building information.
