Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to competitively award a firm-fixed price contract to exchange heavy water with high tritium content for low tritium content heavy water. The Contractor shall deliver approximately 45.5 metric ton of low tritium heavy water by August 14, 2004 to NIST in Gaithersburg, Maryland. NIST's high tritium heavy water shall be picked up and transported to the Contractor's site within eight (8) months of the delivery of the low tritium heavy water. The Contractor is responsible for the transportation and delivery of the low tritium content heavy water to NIST in IP3/Overpack package. The Contractor is also responsible for the transportation and delivery of NIST's high tritium content heavy water from the NIST site to the Contractor's facility in IP3/Overpack package. Delivery shall be FOB Destination. The complete specifications will be included in the solicitation (RFP). The solicitation (RFP) will be issued on or about July 25, 2003 on Federal Business Opportunities (FEDBIZOPPS) at www.fedbizopps.gov. Any amendments to the solicitation will be posted to FEDBIZOPPS and are totally the responsibility of the Offeror. No mailing lists will be kept and no hard copy of the RFP will be available. All interested offerors may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. See Numbered Notes 12 and 26.
