Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst NJ F-18 Program intends to place a sole-source contract with Metric Systems Corp. Fort Walton Beach, FL. The F-18 Program is purchasing the following item in support of the Kuwait Air Force: W56 Adapter Set, SUU-63 P/N 3260AS1400-2 qty 3. The W56 Cable Assembly Set is used to stray voltage check the SUU-63A & 63AA Weapons Rails when utilizing the CRALTS Test Set on the F/A-18C/D Aircraft. Metric Systems Corp. is the only known company that produces these cable sets. The cable sets are manufactured to fit only the CRALTS Test Set. The Government does not own a complete drawings package necessary to open this procurement up to competition. There is no Statement of Work available for this procurement. Metric Systems Corp. is the only known source with the knowledge, experience and technical data necessary to provide the required items. NAWCADLKE intends to procure these items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit proposals, which may or may not be used by the Government in determining whether or not to open this requirement to competition. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based on the responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
