Description

Description: The National Park Service intends to issue a Prospectus for the four concession contracts to provide guided cross country ski tour services on designated routes in Grand Teton National Park. Two concessioners will be required to provide guided day cross country ski tour services, one concessioner will be required to provide guided day and overnight cross country ski tour services, and one concessioner will be required to provide guided overnight cross country ski tour services as part of a multi-day outdoor education program. The concession contracts authorize the tours to include incidental transportation and food services and guided snowshoe tours on approved routes. Any Offeror that is selected as a new concessioner is not obliged to purchase any personal property utilized by the existing concessioner in its operations. The existing concession permits between the National Park Service and the existing concessioners expire by limitation of time on December 31, 2003. The Director, pursuant to 36 CFR Part 51, has determined that the four existing concessioners are preferred Offerors for these contracts. Any offer, including that of the existing concessioners, must be received in the Concession Management Office in Grand Teton National Park, P.O. Box 170, Moose, WY 83012 (Federal Express address: NPS Warehouse, Moose, WY 83012) no later than sixty (60) days after the date of publication of this notice in order to be evaluated and considered for an award of a concession contract to provide guided cross country ski tour services in Grand Teton National Park. The Prospectus will be issued July 7, 2003 for a 60 day response period under the terms described in the Prospectus, with proposals due on September 5, 2003, no later than 4:00 p.m. There is a printing cost recovery charge of $35 per copy to be delivered via Federal Express or $30 per copy if picked up in person. Checks or money orders (no cash accepted) must be payable to the National Park Service and you must include a business address (no post office box) to receive a Federal Express package.
