Description

NA The U.S.Army Corps of Engineers, New York District intends to use a sealed bidding method to award a contract for maintenance dredging and beach nourishment for the Fire Island Inlet and Shore Westerly to Jones Inlet, New York Beach Erosion Control and Nav igation project. The project consists of performing maintenance dredging of the Federal Navigation channel and deposition basin at Fire Island Inlet with placement of the dredged material as nourishment along the designated feeder beach (Gilgo) and possibl y along Robert Moses State Park (RMSP). The project is scheduled to be dredged to a depth of 14 feet plus 2 feet allowable overdepth. Basic Schedule: Placement of 1,000,000 cubic yards of dredged material at Gilgo Beach. Option Schedule 1: Stockpile of 20 ,000 cubic yards of dredged material at Gilgo Beach. Option Schedule 2: Placement of 200,000 cubic yards of dredged material at RMSP. No award will be made unless Small Business Sub-Contracting Plan is accepted and approved. The plan must address maximu m efforts to utilize Small Business, Woman Owned S.B. HubZone S.B, Veteran Owned S.B, and Disabled Veteran Owned S.B. The duration of this project is approximately 120 calendar days. This Procurement is being solicited as UNRESTRICTED. The Applicable NA ICS CODE is 237990 with a small Business size of $28.5 Million. The SIC CODE is 1629. The estimated cost range for this project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Bid Opening date is on or about 3 September 2003 at 11 A.M. Bid opening will be held in Room 1841 of 26 Federal Plaza, New York, NY 10278. The media selected fo r the issuance of the Synopsis/Solicitation and Amendments shall solely be at the discretion of the Government; accordingly, the media utilized for this project shall be the Internet and CD-ROM. Paper copies of this Solicitation, and Amendments, if any, w ill not be available or issued. Project specification files and drawings are portable document files (PDF) and can be v iewed, navigated, or printed using Adobe Acrobat reader.
