- Description
- The US Army TACOM-ARDEC is conducting a Market Survey to identify potential sources for a qualified contractor to provide engineering support for the Excalibur program?s aerodynamic simulation development. This effort is needed to support the development of the Excalibur program?s aerodynamic model, which is an Army responsibility. Engineering support is required to: (1.) Update the TELA 6-degree-of-freedom (6-DOF) simulation to a 7-DOF simulation, which includes addressing physical properties, aerodynamics and guidance and control algorithms; (2) Make comparison simulation runs against the contractor simulation. Document differences, and support identifying and implementing necessary corrections to either TELA or the contractor?s simulation.; (4). Provide documentation to support validation, verification and accreditation of simulations; (5.) Provide the resulting 6/7 DOF source code to the government with user manual documentation; (6.) Perform specific tasks as requested in 6 & 7 Degree of Freedom TELA Guidance and Control Preliminary Trajectory Simulation. (7) Provide consultation and attend meetings on related simulation topics as required, to include international standardization forums. Interested sources should provide their company name, address, point-of-contact with telephone number and e-mail address, size of business (small/large) with qualification no later than 15 calendar days after the issuance of this Market Survey request to PM Excalibur, Bldg 171A, Attn: Mr. M. Burke, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000 email: mjburke@pica.army.mil. This Market Survey is for planning purposes and should not be construed as a request for proposal or as a commitment on the part of the Government to issue a solicitation. The Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey.
