Description

The Southern Plains Agricultural Research Center of the U.S. Department of Agriculture intends to issue an award to Dantec Dynamics, 777 Corporate Drive, Mahwah, NJ 07340. This is a sole source procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations (RFQ) for competition. This is a simplified acquisition. The Southern Plains Agricultural Research Center requires a three-dimensional traverse system for wind tunnel. The following specifications are required. A) the system must provide three-dimensions of movement for positioning of a probe or camera; B) the range of movement must be at lease 1 m in the X, Y, and Z planes; C) the system must support at least 10 kg.; D) the positioning system must be computer controlled for automated sampling at user-defined positions; E) the system should interface with existing sampling equipment (i.e. Dantec Streamline Hot-Wire Anemometry System).
