- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a contract to Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation on a sole source basis for the acquisition and support of the FY05 Full Rate Production (FRP) of the MH-60R aircraft. The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) plans to issue an Advance Acquisition Contract (AAC) for long lead effort and materials supporting this procurement. This FRP procurement will be for ten MH-60R aircraft, or for such quantities as authorized by Congress, and the related support necessary for the manufacturing of the aircraft. Such support consists of administrative, financial and technical data reporting, program management, configuration management, sustaining engineering, special tooling and test equipment, spares and repair parts and logistics support and analysis. As the sole manufacturer and developer of the MH-60R air vehicle Sikorsky is the only source with the technical data and experience necessary to perform this effort in a timely and cost effective manner.
