Description

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound (FISC,PS) has a requirement for shipping and storage drums, open head, for liquids or solids, 55-gallon with bolt ring, lid with 3/4 inch bung, and steel guage of at least 16/18/18. The requirement is for a not to exceed amount of 8000 units for the base year, and 8000 units for each of the two option years. A Firm fixed price indefinite delivery contract will be awarded. This requirement will be solicited under a small business set-aside using FAR part 12 commercial acquisition procedures. Delivery of the drums will be to any U.S. Naval facility in western Washington, including Widbey Island. The solicitation will be issued on or about July 25, 2003 with a closing date of August 20, 2003. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by FISC, PS. The solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted to the NECO website: http://www.neco.navy.mil. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation from this website and for frequently monitoring that site for any amendments. The Government is not responsible for any inability of the offeror to access the posted documents. No telephone or FAX requests will be accepted, and no hard-copy solicitation/amendment will be mailed or FAXed.
