Description

NA Project Title and Location: The Barracks Upgrade Project is an unrestricted, Design/Build procurement that will renovate existing Barracks Buildings (1985-1988 vintage) to bring them up to modified current standards. The solicitation in UNRESTRICTED. JOB DESCRIPTION: Work will entail reconfiguring 3 buildings, each with 44 existing rooms, to provide suites of two semi-private sleeping rooms and 1 private sleeping room, each with its built-in closets. It will also provide one shared bath and service area ( i.e. counter, sink, micro-wave oven, and mini-refrigerator) and one private bath and service area. Additional work entails painting exterior walls, replacing interior wall finishes, replacing ceiling, flooring, installing/replacing lighting throughout, upg rading HVAC system, replacing plumbing system, upgrading electrical system, installing/replacing fire detection system, and installing a new building fire sprinkler system. NAICS CODE: The NAICS Code for this project is: 236118. The Size Statand for th is NAICS Code is $28,500,000.00. Large business competing for this project must comply with the FAR 52.219-9 clause regarding the requirement for a subcontracting plan on the part of the work it inrends to subcontract. The recommended goals for subcontra ctins are 43.8% for Small Business, 18.0% for Small Disadvantaged Business, 6.5% for Women Owned Small Business, 3.0% for HUBZONE Samall Business, 3.0% for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, and 12.9% for HBCU/MI. At the next screen, click on the file name and download it. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered by the agency. . Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting office r their interest and capability to satisfy the Government??????s requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice.
