Description

This acquisition is for contract work including 1) Remove and replace poles 2) Remove and reinstall all pole mounted transformers and wiring on replacement poles 3) Install new pole mounted equipment, grounding and guying on replacement poles 4) Provide equipment grounding connections from pole mounted equipment to grounding electrode system(s) 5) Test grounding systems at each replaces pole to verify grounding resistance. This work will take place in various areas on McChord AFB. The magnitude of the construction is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00 for the entire project. The applicable NASICS code is 237130 with a small business size standard of $ . In accordance with FAR 19.1300, this acquisition is being considered for HubZone set aside. If your firm is HubZone certified and intends to propose on this acquisition, you are requested to provide the following information to the Contracting Officer not later than ten (10) days after the publication of this notice. 1) SBA certification of HubZone eligibility; 2) A capability statement of your firm; and 3) A positive statement that your firm intends to propose on this acquisition. Based on the responses received to this notice, the Contracting Officer will make a determination that if there is not a reasonable expectation of adequate competition from HubZone certified firms, this acquisition will be conducted under full and open competition procedures. Issuance of this solicitation will occur on or about 14 Jul 03 with a closing date for receipt of proposals on or about 13 Aug 03. The solicitation as well as all amendments will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities Website www.eps.gov.
