Description

This announcement constitutes a Notice of Proposed Contract Action with L-3 Communications Corporation on a sole source basis to increase the ceiling price of Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) Contract F33657-98-D- 0005, by 175 million dollars, for FY04 thru FY08 Concurrency Updates for the B- 2 Training Systems. The potential acquisition will include the following: Reference B2TRAINERS ? B-2 Training Systems CBD announcement of 09 December 2002 for complete acquisition description and details. This effort will be awarded pursuant to the authority of FAR 6.302-1 [10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1)], only one responsible source has the unique capabilities/qualifications required to satisfy the government+s minimum needs. L-3 Communications Corp., Arlington TX, is the only known firm with the knowledge, experience, and technical data required for the B-2 Training Systems Concurrency Updates without substantial duplication of effort and cost to the government, and delays in meeting the Air Force requirements. Small businesses are hereby notified of potential subcontracting opportunities.
