- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/notice of intent for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format of FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being issued as a Notice of Intent (NOI3060). This solicitation and its incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2001-14. This acquisition will be processed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and is not a small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System Code Number 333314 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases is issuing a Notice of Intents to negotiate on a sole-source basis using simplified acquisition procedures with Leica Microsystems of Exton, Pa .for a quantity of one multi-photon optical system and one filter fl cube to upgrade an existing Leica SP2 Confocal Microscope. The multi-photon optical system and the filter fl cube will upgrade an existing Leica SP2 AOBS confocal microscope to multi-photon operational. The multi-photon optical system upgrade is to be comprised of the listed components. 1) Reflected light non-descanned detector, RLD FL 2 Ch IR. 2) Laser port upgrade + IR inverted direct. 3) Beam routing tsunami direct inverted. 4) EOM for IR laser. 5) MP component require use of a Spectra Physics Mai Tai XF-WIS Ti:Sa Laser 6) Filter FL cube. 7) Installation. FOB Point shall be Destination, inside delivery required to Bethesda Md. 20892. This will be a fixed-price contract. The following Federal Acquisition Regulations provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial items; FAR 52.212-3 Offerors Representations and Certifications; FAR 52.212-4 Contractor Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-5Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders-Commercial Items; FAR 52.225-3 Buy American Act also applies. Offerors shall include with their offer a completed copy of provision at FAR 52.212-3 Offerors Representations and Certifications Commercial Items. Offers must be submitted no later than 5:00P.M. Eastern Daylight Time July 26, 2003.
