Description
The Glove Welder's Leather Gauntlet NSN: 8415-00-268-7859(s) will be made in accordance with CID A-A-50022B. This acquisition is for an IDTC with a minimum quantity of 12,500 prs and a maximum quantity of 25,000 prs, plus three (3) one year term options. The Glove Welder's Leather Gauntlet will be delivered to the Tracy, CA and New Cumberland, PA depots. Deliveries will start 150 days after date of award, with three (3) delivery increments applicable to the delivery order. This acquisition will also be issued on a Total Small Business Set - A - Side. Anticipated issuance date is July 2, 2003. All responsible sources may submit offers to be considered by DSCP. This acquisition will also contain DOMESTIC RESTRICTIONS, which means that all components and all manufacturing must be obtained/performed within the UNITED STATES. See numbered notes 1,9, 26. Availability of solicitations, FAR 5.102(d) applies, as our office no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. Offeror should register to receive notification of this solicitation or solicitation amendments. Copies of this solicitation can be found on the DLA Procurement Gateway at http://progate.daps.dla.mil AFTER July 2, 2003. From the Gateway homepage, select "Search RFPs" from the left-hand sidebar. Then choose the RFP you wish to view. You must be registered in order to download RFPs. If you are not, you will be directed to register at time of download. In order to ensure e-mail notification of RFPs, prospective vendors MUST go to the RFP Information page and select DSCP Clothing & Textiles (C&T) as the commodity center from which notices will be sent. Important Note on Foreign Content The Defense appropriations and authorization acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as "The Berry Amendment" impose restrictions on the DoD's acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012) and "specialty metals" (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014) must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies.
