Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT. The Government intends to issue a sole source purchase order for F38SFS31570200 to PURCHASE A SIMUNITION - 20 (8970015) FX 8000 PROTECTIVE MASKS, 13 - FX 8000 THROAT PROTECTION (8971196), 7 - FX 8000 THROAT PROTECTION (8971196), 13 BERETTA 92 FS CONVERSION KIT (5308270), 13 - COLT M16A2 RIFLE CONVERSION KIT (5305130), 2 - 9 MM FX MARKING CARTRIDGES (5303700), 2 - 9 MM FX MARKING CARTRIDGES (5300432) The award will go to NEVES UNIFORM & EQUIPMENT 4855 PECOS ST, DENVER STATE, CO 80221. This is the only system on the market that meets the needs of realistic training utilizing biodegradable, nontoxic, simulated munitions that can be fired from a standard M16A2/M9 needed by the Security Forces. The 460th Contracting Squadron intends to award a purchase order by other than full and open competition in accordance with Subpart 6.302-1 (a)(2)(ii). Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. Questions should be directed to 2nd Lt.
