Description
NA This is a Market Survey to identify potential sources that possess the expertise, capability, and experience to provide Laundry Services, to include pick-up and delivery, for Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC), Washington, DC and Kimbrough Ambulatory Care Center, Fort Meade, Maryland. The contractor will provide clean linen for approximately 1.9 million pounds per year. The Contractor will provide repair, patch, or alter hospital or non-hospital linen. Types of items to launder include Laundry Bags, Blankets, Physician Coats, Cubicle Curtains, Patient Gowns, Mop Heads, Bed Pads, Table Cloths, Bed Sheet, Towels, etc. Delivery to be made daily. Services include processing articles through the following tasks: wash/dry, presswork, and folding for WR AMC, Kimbrough Center, Delorenzo Tricare Health Clinic (Pentagon Building), and other Tenant and Satellite Activities. The work includes providing all plant, facilities, labor, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, transportation for pick up and deliv ery services as required and necessary for performance of the contract. Contractor must maintain a system of records as to work performed sufficient to answer all reasonable issues with regard to the linen supply and work performed. Contractor must accom plish all work in accordance with the Joint Commission on Accreditations of Hospital Manual, all regulations cited in the contract, and industry standards. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 812332 and the Small Business Si ze Standard is $12 million. All interested parties must be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) in order to receive an award. All eligible firms responding to this Sources Sought must ensure their response is complete and sufficiently deta iled to allow the government to determine the firms qualifications to perform this requirement. Only firms having relevant experience performing this type of requirement will be evaluated as qualified for consideration. Interested firms must complete a C ontractor Capability Survey. A copy of the Survey can be obtained by written request to the address above or via Fax (202) 782-0806 attention Ms. Sue Broady. All requests for the Survey must be provided by June 3, 2003 and provide the following business information: Company Name, Address, Point of Contact, Telephone and Fax Number, Email Address, and Business Size. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted. The Government does not intend to award a contract based upon this Sources Sought announcement. This market research does not constitute an invitation for bid or request for proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government will not reimburse contractors for any cost incurred for their participation in this survey.
