Description
The United States Air Forces in Europe (USAFE) Contracting Squadron is issuing this notice to determine the capability of any firm interested in serving as a contractor to provide inspection, testing, maintenance and repair of various automatic fire alarm systems in the Kaiserslautern Military Community. Qualified contractors shall provide all management, travel, tools, supplies, equipment, supervision, and labor necessary to inspect, test, maintain and repair automatic fire alarm systems as defined in the Statement of Work (SOW) and applicable appendices. The resultant contract will be for the inspection, testing, maintenance and repair on approximately 550 installed automatic fire alarm systems to include the following types: Siemens, Esser, Schrack, Telenorma, Hekatron, Bosch, BBC and Simplex. The contractor shall be fully qualified and certified, or capable of achieving certification, for each type of system contained in the SOW and applicable appendices. The USAFE Contracting Squadron seeks to award a contract to only one contractor capable of performing on all types of systems, but, depending on the response to this notice, may find it necessary to award to more than one firm. Interested contractors shall respond to this notice in writing, to include a brief description of the firm and indicating its ability to meet the requirements of the SOW and applicable appendices. All qualified responders will be notified of the actual issuance of the solicitation when it becomes available. Copies of the SOW and all applicable appendices may be obtained by contacting the individuals listed above. Please fax qualification information to SSgt Brent Goe, Contract Administrator, at 0631-536-8447. All responses must be received no later than 16:30 on 30 June 2003.
