Description
Services of an Architect-Engineer firm with specialized experience in design and construction of diagnostic radiographic procedure rooms and associated support spaces in a medical environment to participate in investigation, design, preparation of working drawings/construction documents, and construction period services for Project No. 596-03-109, =93RENOVATE RADIOLOGY FOR PACS EQUIPMENT, CDD=94 at VA Medical Center, Cooper Drive Division, Lexington, KY. Project involves renovation of existing space at CDD to provide for areas of PACS system equipment viewing and for site prep required to allow for PACS equipment installation. Project renovates approximately 3,488 departmental gross square feet on the first floor, CDD, in a number of locations within existing Radiology Service space. Estimated construction cost range is between $250,000 and $500,000. Project drawings will be accomplished in the AutoCad.dwg format; specifications will be accomplished in the Microsoft Word .doc format. Area of consideration is restricted to firms within 100 miles radius of VAMC, Lexington, KY.=20 Interested firms, with required specialization must submit qualifications on Standard Forms SF254 and SF255 no later than 3:00 p.m., July 31, 2003. Respondents will be reviewed generally regarding professional qualifications for projects of similar type, ability to complete work in required time frame, and past performance of contracts of similar type. Respondents will be reviewed specifically on the basis of: team proposed for this project; previous experience of proposed team; project control (design schedule control and quality assurance reviews of submission documents); estimating effectiveness.=20 (Note: Each of these specific review items shall be addressed on the qualifications packages submitted.) With reference to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, this solicitation is issued on an unrestricted basis. North American Industrial Classification System No. 541310, with a size standard of $4 million, is applicable. This is not a Request for Proposals.
