- Contractor shall provide all tools, labor, materials, and supervision to perform all work required for Project 521-03-907 =93Replace Sewer and Water Line TR House=94 at the VA Medical Center, 700 19th Street South, Birmingham Alabama 25233 in accordance will plans and specifications.=20 Work involves preparing site for replacing the existing sewer line and fresh water line to the TR House, and hook into the city sewer and fresh water line located under US Highway 31 (Carraway Blvd.).=20 Contractor will be required to dig up Hwy. 31 and repair according to ADOT specifications. The contractor will be required to have a minimum of 3 years experience in this type of work. The estimated dollar value of construction is between $25,000.00 and $100,00.00. Estimated solicitation issue date is June July 15, 2003, with an estimated bid opening date of August 14, 2003. This procurement has two (2) National American Industry Classification system (NAICS) Codes, 235110 size standard of $12.0 million and 234110 size standard $28.5 million which applies for this procurement. This procurement is subject to the availability of funds, and is restricted to Certified HubZone Contractors. There will be a pre-bid walk through of the project, it=92s time and location will be addressed in the cover page of the solicitation. All solicitation packages will be available for downloading from the website listed in this announcement. NO HARD COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL BE PROVIDED. However, drawings will be issued on a first come first serve basis. Only twenty-five (25) sets of drawings will be issued. All requests for drawings and/or questions regarding this solicitation must be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer (10N7/NLO), VA Medical Center, 3701 Loop Road E., Tuscaloosa, AL 35404 or via fax number (478) 274-5535. It is highly recommended that you complete the solicitation mailing list on the website before downloading the solicitation. Any amendments issued to this solicitation will be available ONLY at the website. Bidders are reminded that they are responsible for obtaining all amendments from the website.
