Description
NASA/GRC has a requirement for exhibition rental space at the AIAA International Air and Space Symposium and Exposition in Dayton, OH for a NASA GRC exhibit from July 14-17, 2003. NASA/GRC intends to purchase the (exhibit rental space) from the American Institute for Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) as the only known source that can meet the Agency's needs. The AIAA International Air and Space Symposium and Exposition, scheduled for July 14-17, 2003 in Dayton, OH, is a the premier global event for the Centennial of Flight. It is a forum for high-level program managers, engineers, scientist, and educators from the aviation industry to discuss the next 100 years of aviation. This event provides a truly unique opportunity to educate the aviation community about our aerospace programs and research activities, build new industry partnerships and alliances, and provides an ideal forum for scientists and engineers from industry, government, and academia to share and disseminate scientific knowledge and results. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on June 26, 2003. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
