Description
NA ENVIRONMENTALLY CONTROLLED CLAMSHELTERS, POC Genna Wooten, Contracting Officer, SMDC-CM-CT, (256) 955-2192. The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is a market survey to determine the existence of other sources. The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defens e Command intends to negotiate on a sole source basis a Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF), contract with Clamshell Buildings, 1990 Knoll Drive, Ventura, CA 93003. The proposed contracting effort will include, but not limited to the following: Provide environme ntally controlled shelters on the Mobile Launch Platform to house Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) missiles. The shelters shall protect the missile systems from the weather during buildup and transport and shall be mounted on a tract system. The she lters shall be 32 feet wide, 95.5 feet long, 27 feet high at peak and 21.5 feet high at eave and contain three bays 12.5 feet wide, and two clamshell ends. The track system shall consist of a total of 500 feet of parallel rails on the surface perpendicula r to the span of the arches of the clamshelter. The shelter frame shall consist of Beams 6061-T6 aluminum, the weathershell fabric should be PVC/Polyester 22 oz or 28 oz PVDF coated fabric that is flame retardant. The proposed effort will not be open to foreign participation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 541710 and the Small Business size standard is 1000 employees. Interested firms must provide whether they are small business, small disadvantag ed business, educational institution, other nonprofit organization, or large business. Interested firms should submit their written qualifications to U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense command at diana.mccown@smdc.army.mil Requests must be received with in fifteen (15) days from publication of this announcement and should cite ENVIRONMENTALLY CONTROLLED CLAMSHELTERS as the subject.
