Description: This project involves conducting a range of cultural resource management activities in accordance with direction set forth in Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 (as amended), and elsewhere. The project's primary task is cultural resource (Phase I) survey and information management duties. The second task is archaeological collections management, i.e., direction and assistance in the development of the Forest Service curation facility at the Northern Great Lakes Visitor Center, Ashland. The third task is cultural resource (Phase II and III) studies of prehistoric and historic sites, historic buildings and structures, cultural landscapes, and traditional cultural properties. Projects are distributed throughout the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, Wisconsin. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (08-APR-2003).
