Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a four-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract for the periodic inspections, minor Airframe Change (AFC) modifications, and maintenance and repairs in conjunction with the Planned Maintenance Interval One (PMI1) inspections, Wing Center Section installations, Improved Capability III (ICAPIII) modification the EA-6B aircraft . The purpose of the contract is to restore aircraft inducted under a separate firm-fixed price contract to a condition that can be maintained at organizational or intermediate levels in the fleet and ensure AFC's are timely installed for cost effectiveness and to bring the aircraft is to the latest configuration. The Navy intends to issue a contract on a sole source basis to Northrop Grumman at St. Augustine, FL. Northrop Grumman is the sole designer and manufacturer of the EA-6B aircraft. Task orders against this contract will be placed in conjunction with firm-fixed priced contracts for the major inspections, modifications, and wing installs also performed at Northrop Grumman, St. Augustine, FL.
