There is a requirement for surface accuracy to 1/4 wavelength flatness; maximum coating reflectance at specified wavelengths; minimum light transmission values through coated substrates; resistance of defroster coating to laser damage; Initial Production Approval testing is required on 2 of the first 10 units produced to assure the items meet all requirements.
