Description
The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center/(TACOM-ARDEC), Picatinny Arsenal requires the Near-Infrared (NIR) Moisture Content Analyzer with the following requirements: General - New, Near-Infrard, Reflectance, Direct Analysis, Moisture Content Analyzer; Wavelength Range 400 - 2500 nan-meters; Completely sealed Monochromator unit; Data Acqusition Rate: min 2 scans per second; Calibration (samples) must be transferable between similar units; All power cords, serial, ethernet cables, NIR certification standards etc. required to set up and run the NIR Analyzer. Operating Conditions - Temperature range 65 to 80 degrees F; 10 to 90% relative humidity. Size - Maximum foot print / size: 24"W x 18"H x 24"D; Weight less than 75lbs. Electrical Power Requirements - 115 VAC single phase, 60 Hz, ~2.6 amps or less (300 watt or less) Computer / Interface requirements - 1) Pentium 4, 2.0 GHz min., 1 Mega Byte DDR RAM min computer running Window 2000 or Windows XP with 40 GB min Hard Disk; 2) Any propretary software required to interface between the computer and the NIR Moisture Analyzer; 3) High speed 100 MBS Ethernet / Serial / USB or Parallel connection between computer and NIR Analyzer. Training/Technical Support - The contractor shall provide for a basic training course on the NIR Analyzer for at least four government employees. The contractor shall provide for at least three days of on-site, hands on technical support. Spare Parts - The contractor shall supply the following spare parts: 1) At least 2 lamps 2) Any filters (Air, Water etc.) 3) Fuses (Or other standard parts necessary to support a minimum work load of 500 hrs. Safety - Ability to locate the controlling computer behind a blast wall. Distance between Near IR Analyzer and control computer not to exceed 300 feet.
