ATTENTION POTENTIAL CONTRACTORS: SOLICITATION IS BEING SET ASIDE 100% FOR EMERGING SMALL BUSINESS VICE FULL & OPEN COMPETITION. PLEASE CONTINUE TO REVIEW THE FEDERAL BUSINESS OPPORTUNTIES WEB SITE FOR ANY FURTHER STATUS UPDATES AND SOLICITATION ISSUE DATE. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Project for Construct Storage Bldg, North of Bldg 1924., Sheppard Air Force Base, TX will be issued in the near future. Work will consist of furnishing all necessary plant, labor and materials to accomplish the following work: Construct a free-standing metal storage building for electrical and power line materials and equipment. The storage building will be constructed with reinforced concrete foundation, pre-engineered structural steel frame, standing seam metal roof, metal siding and 4? approach concrete ramp. Storage facility also includes installation of steel bollards, one 10? and two 8? overhead doors. General site improvements and grading will be incorporated to the facility. All work shall be in accordance with the statement of work and drawings. Magnitude of construction project is between $25,000 and $100,000. Performance period is 75 calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Solicitation is being issued for FULL and OPEN competition. Applicable NAICS code for this project is 236220 with a size standard of $28.5 million dollars. Solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted through the electronic posting system (http://eps.gov/). Paper copies will not be provided. Contractors will be solely responsible for monitoring the Internet and obtaining the solicitation documents and any amendments. Interested offerors must ensure they are registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to receive award of a contract. Information to register can be found on the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov/ telephone 1-888-227-2423. Estimated issue date for the solicitation is on or about 20 June 2003.
