- Description
- The Federal Aviation Administration, Washington Headquarters, Termina= l Automation Business Service, intends to award a single source contract to= CEXEC Incorporated for continuation of technical support services. Approx= imately four person-years per year are anticipated to fulfill the need of t= his requirement. This requirement calls for CEXEC to provide an in-plant r= epresentative at the prime contractor=E2=80=99s facility (Raytheon) in Walt= ham, MA and to provide technical expertise for the evaluation of Lockheed M= artin Corporation=E2=80=99s ARTS proposal. CEXEC is the only known contrac= tor that has an in depth knowledge of the STARS and ARTS programs because i= t has been providing contract support under the Standard Terminal Automatio= n Replacement System (STARS) contract over the last seven years and the Aut= omated Radar Terminal System (ARTS) contract over the last five years. Thi= s knowledge is essential to provide the technical support needed to analyze= and evaluate contractor proposals and CDRL data that are submitted by the = prime contractors to the Terminal Business Unit. Continuity of support is = critical due to the negotiation of ongoing proposal efforts and reconciliat= ion of changing agency and contractor accounting systems. It is estimated = that it would take up to six months or more to train a new contractor=E2=80= =99s representative to begin providing the needed support. The period of p= erformance for this contract is for one-year with two one-year options. If a potential contractor believes they possess the necessary knowledge and= experience to provide the services identified above, please provide a capa= bility statement including prices for evaluation to Mr. Sherlock Bruce, (Sh= erlock.Bruce@FAA.gov) Source(s) responding to the market survey will be ev= aluated to determine if they are capable of performing the services in a ti= mely and cost efficient manner. Please provide past performance references = and identify resources proposed to fulfill the demands for this requirement= .=20
