Description

The 11th Contracting Squadron has a requirement for a contractor to Repair Fire Protection System Basewide at Bolling AFB. The project consists of performing new work and completing necessary repairs to complete all work to include; provide Sprinkler system complete, including water main service- provide fire alarm system, complete, including all interior and exterior wall and finish replacement work (associated with both the fire alarm and sprinkler work), telephone communications work, and all repair and concrete replacement work. Provide NFPA required UL Listed Fire Department Notifier Workstations for facilities. Provide Intergraph interface modifications to the fire alarm reporting system. Lead based paint removal is required. The contractor shall provide all plant, labor, equipment, tools, parts, materials, transportation, supervision and other services necessary to complete all associated work. Work includes but is not limited to demolition, utilities, plumbing, electrical, etc. In accordance with FAR Part 36.204, the magnitude of this requirement on terms of physical characteristics and estimated range is between $1,000,000.and $5,000,000. The North American Industry Classification System code is 238220 with the size standard being $12.0 million. The period of performance for this requirement is 365 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. This is a competitive best-value solicitation in which competing offerors’ past and present performance history and technical is more important than price. This procurement is UNRESTRICTED. The solicitation and specifications will be distributed solely on the World Wide Web at the following address beginning on or after 2 May 2003; http://www.eps.gov. Prospective offerors will be asked to register for this solicitation at the above referenced web site. All prospective offerors are responsible to visit the FedBizzOpps web site frequently and obtain any amendments or other information pertinent to this RFP. Also, each prospective offeror interested in submitting a proposal on this RFP must register by e-mail to: sammy.moncada@bolling.af.mil in order to be placed on the source list. Include company name, address, telephone/fax numbers point-of-contact and e-mail address. Offerors registering on the source list shall not conclude that they will receive a paper copy of the RFP, as no paper copies will be issued. Closing date of this solicitation will be 2 June 2003. NO PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE MAILED.
