Description

National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) intends to issue a contract to Cox Business Services under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 Other Than Full and Open Competition through solicitation number NAMA-03-R-0017. The solicitation provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-14. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This procurement request is to provide Internet connectivity at the rate of 10mb/sec-155mb/sec through Cox Communications to the work site of Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC). SAIC is an application service provider (ASP) for the NARA Access to Archival Databases (AAD) Project. NARA has contracted with SAIC to develop, operate, and maintain an application that will enable researchers to search, retrieve, and download information from selected historical databases. This procurement request is designed to provide high speed Internet connection services to SAIC'S place of business to enable researchers to access ADD at a high rate of performance.
