Description

The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Contract on a Sole Source basis to VACCO Industries, Inc., 10350 Vacco St., South El Monte, CA 91733-0096 for a Poppet & Seat Assembly, Regulator Soft Good Kit and Disc Assembly. These are direct replacement components for the existing components which have deteriorated. The components must be designed and built to work with VACCO QARM S/N's 31090-7-R1, drawing number S1E10033 and VACCO regulator drawing number V3E10041 Rev A. The Government intends to issue a solicitation on or about 24 June 2003 using FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13. The anticipated award date is 2003 July 01. This action is being processed on a Sole Source basis because the ASLF QARM was designed and built by VACCO Industries and only VACCO Industries designs and manufactures replacement parts for VACCO's manifolds.
