Description

The work is a design/build contract for adaptation/re-development of an existing bridge design and subsequent construction to install a HS-20 simple span precast plank superstructure on a new foundation to replace the existing timber bridge across Reed's Gut on Range Road in MCAS Cherry Point, NC. Maintain existing alignment and elevation within 6 inches and minimize wetland impact. Obtain necessary permits for wetland encroachment (401 water quality certification from the State of NC), a 404 dredge fill permit (Corps of Engineers nationwide permit) and a NEPA review, CAMA Federal Consistency permit, and a stormwater permit. NAICS Code: 237310 Size Standard: $28,500,000. Issue date of 7/28/03 and response date of 8/28/03 are tentative at this time.
