Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Object Management Group (OMG), Needham, MA, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) Only One Source Reasonably Available for renewing annual membership to OMG at the platform level. OMG is an international consortium of government and industry that develops and promotes standards for distributed information systems, and is a recognized standards development organization by and for the International Organization for Standardization. This is a sole source procurement as OMG is solely responsible for the collection and administration of its membership dues. A fixed price purchase order will be issued for 1-year of platform membership and 1 option year of either platform or contributing level membership, on or about 06/24/03. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, in writing, no later than the response date. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is not a Request for Quotation (RFQ) nor is it a request for competition. See note 26.
