Description
NASA/KSC plans to issue a Request for Quotations (RFQ)] for the following Commercial item: GAS CHROMATOGRAPH with the following characteristics: Perkin Elmer 500 or with autosampler or equivalent; configured with the following detectors: 2TCD (Thermal Conductivity Detector); Dual Flow controller w/column head pressure guage readout from 0-100 mi/min; Temperature programming to 450 degrees C with termnal protection; Must have 12 programmable pneumatic control zones. These zones must include 2 carriers, 2 split vents, 4 detectors, and an auxillary; Key hardware components must be detailed to analyze helium content in Gaseous Nitrogen down to 3 ppm; Must have 2 mounted 10-port gas sampling valves, sample loops for 2, 5 and 10 ml volumes, and all associated hardware; The unit must include an internal digital-to-digital link to interface with existing PE Nelson Turbochrom data stations; Must be controlled by an intuitive screen interface and have a choice of generating methods, checking run parameters and controlling the system from a touch screen; Must have an instrument personality module (IPM) for control from existing PE Nelson Turbochrom Client/Service system; Cable to connect the GC to the Turbochrom system; Dual Amplifiers; System should have a minimum of one year warranty; System/Manufacturer will install and verify equipment performance. This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are required to use the On-Line RFQ system to submit their quote. The On-line RFQ system is linked above or it may be accessed at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin= . The information required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing (e-mail is preferred) no later than June 18, 2003. It is the quoter's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of amendments (if any). Potential quoters will be responsible for downloading their own copy of this notice, the on-line RFQ and amendments (if any).
