- Description
- NASA/MSFC has a requirement for Ultra High-Speed fiber optic reflective memory components using the following parts: Item 1: Ultra high-speed fiber-optic reflective memory with interrupts. 64 Mbyte Memory, 4 K FIFOs w/ Multimode Transmission. Qty. 4 Model No. VMIPCI-5565-010 Item 2: Ultra high-speed fiber-optic reflective memory w/ Interrupts. 64 Mbyte Memory, 4 K FIFOs w/ Single Mode Transmission. Qty 2 Model No. VMIVME-55655010 Item 3: 2Gb/s reflective memory hub. Rack mount w/2 single-mode tranceivers and 6 multimode tranceivers. Qty. 1 Model No. VMIACC-5595-226 Item 4: Network and shared memory driver for VxWorks, Intel x86. Qty. 1 Model No. VMISFT-RFM2G-013-037 Item 5: Network and shared memory driver for compaq Tru64. Qty. 1 Model No. VMISFT-RFM2G-013-807 Item 6: Network and Shared memory driver for Win 2000, Intel x86. Qty. 1 Model No. VMISFT-RFM2G-013-930 ALL MODEL NUMBERS GIVEN ARE SPECIFIC TO VMIC. NASA/MSFC intends to purchase the items from VMIC because they are the only known producer of a VME-based reflective memory card supported by GE-Fanuc 90-70 programmable logic controllers (PLCs). The reflective memory network must be compatible with the existing GE-Fanuc 90-70 PLCs installed in the MSFC test areas and used to control propulsion tests performed here at MSFC. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on June 27, 2003.
