- Description
- The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences has a requirement to provide an analysis of protein "baits" using yeast two-hybrid screening methodology to determine protein-protein interactions. A list of custom "prey" libraries will also be required. The NIEHS may provide the appropriate cDNA clones for the proteins under study, and possibly tissues or cells for the custom libraries. It is estimated that screening of twenty (20) protein baits, i.e., multiple fragment baits from each of twenty (20) proteins, and the preparation of three (3) custom libraries, will be performed during the first year of the contract. During each subsequent year it is estimated that baits from twelve (12) additional proteins will be screened, and two (2) additional custom libraries will be prepared. This is a firm fixed price requirement and will be issued under FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. Period of performance will be three years from the date of contract award. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 541710 with a size standard of 500 employees. The solicitation will be available on or about July 3, 2003.
