Description

This project is to remodel portions of the second floor of the Charles Chamberlain Federal Building, Lansing, MI. For descriptive purposes, the project consists of six separate areas: 1) Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration: approximately 2,200 sf, 2) Federal Highway Administration: approximately 7,300 sf, and 3) Department of Labor Wage & Hour: approximately 150 sf, 4) Occupational Safety and Health Administration: approximately 1600 sf, 5) Bureau of Apprenticeship Training; approximately 800 sf, and 6) GSA Public Corridor: approximately 1,600 sf. The project consists primarily of finish work including paint, stain, carpet, and ceiling tile. Some work involving gypsum board partitions, doors and hardware, HVAC, plumbing, power and lighting is also included. This project is set aside for small business concerns only. The North American Industrial Classifications Systems (NAICS) is 236220 with a size standard of $28.5 Million Dollars. The completion time for this project is 224 calendar days from the receipt of notice to proceed. The estimated cost range for this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. This is a negotiated best value procurement. The solicitation will be issued on or about March 18, 2003. The solicitation includes Sensitive But Unclassified building information and will not be available on FedBizOpps. In order to obtain the solicitation, requestors must complete the Document Security Notice (available on this website) and include a copy of their business license. Please read the Notice carefully as it contains additional requirements and information. All requests shall be submitted on the company's official letterhead and submitted to General Services Administration, Attn: Geraldine Bowen, 230 S. Dearborn Street, Room 3324, Chicago, Illinois 60604. No telephonic or e-mail requests will be accepted, however, facsimiles will be accepted. All solicitations will be issued on compact disc and mailed to the requestor upon receipt and verification of required information.
