Description
NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE. The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, ALOSH, 1095 Willowdale Road, Morgantown, WV has a requirement for a thermal desorption unit. Thermal desorption offers a cost-saving and high sensitivity alternative to conventional sample preparation methods for the analysis of trace level organic chemicals. The Markes UNITY is a state-of-the-art two-stage thermal desorber used for sampling, concentrating, extracting and analysing volatile and semi-volatile organic compounts in a range of real-world sample matrices. Our purchase would include a Markes UNITYe platform thermal desorption unit including Markes U-ULTRA autosampler accessory, Markes U-USKT autosecure inteface kit for a second autosampler allowing for re-collection, Markes U-AIRSV air server accessory, Markes U-ASDRY dryer kit for air server, Markes U-ASPM 1 pump, U2-ISPD internal standard dry purge accessory, RKM-0001 UNITY routine maintenance kit, cables, installation, on-site training and extended one year warranty. Quantum Analytics is the only authorized distributor of the Markes System. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Organizations that believe they can provide the required services are encouraged to identify themselves to the Contracting Officer within 7 days from the posting date of this notice. Interested parties shall provide documentation which demonstrates that they have the expertise and capabilities necessary to meet the stated requirements. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will solely be used for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no affirmative responses are received within 7 days, award will be made to Quantum Analytics. All information received will be considered by the Government.
