Description

The Air Armament Center Contracting Office at Eglin Air Force Base is issuing this synopsis for a commercial service purchase order in accordance with FAR Part 5.2. This acquisition may be solicited under full and open competition. NAICS Code: 513220 Place of Performance/FOB: Eglin Air Force Base, FL Period of Performance: 01 Oct 03-30 Sept 04. Service Requirements: Provide all parts, labor, tools, materials and transportation to provide cable television services to Eglin AFB, FL in accordance with (IAW) AFI 63-101 to approximately 1250 outlets in an estimated 65 buildings. Services under the purchase order shall include installations and maintenance for approved appropriated areas. The contractor shall conform to all safety and security requirements and regulations applicable to contractor activity at Eglin AFB as well as federal, state and local standards for CATV services. The contractor must secure a Franchise Agreement, License Agreement, and Base Access Letter with Eglin AFB prior to execution of the purchase order. Basic CATV service for the Eglin AFB shall consist of a minimum of 30 channels and shall include CNN, Headline News, the weather channel and all available local TV stations. In addition, the contractor must make available at the request of the Government premium programming (including HBO, Showtime, TMC, and Cinemax) and music choice entertainment. The Government desires a Government Access Channel on the system for noncommercial use in consideration for real property provided under the License Agreement according to the guidelines in AFI 64-101 and AFI 33-117.
