- Description
- NASA/JSC has a requirement for the Vibration Control & Data Reduction System for the Vibration and Acoustic Test Facility (VATF). The contractor shall deliver the shaker table vibration control system and data reduction system as listed below. This system shall consist of the following required items: Item 1, 32-Channel Vibration Control & Dynamic Signal Analyzer System Rack Mount Assembly. Item 2, Time Synchronization to Subsystem of multi-chasis expansion and to our standard Inter-Range Instrumentation Group format B (IRIG-B). Item 2; PC workstation with 20" minimum color monitor and CDRW Drive. Item 3, Software including Vibration Control and Data Analysis Item 4, Operations and Maintenance Manuals Item 5, One-year on-site Warranty on both hardware and software. Other Technical Requirements include training. The contractor shall provide on-site and hands-on training, for a minimum of three personnel, including operation and maintenance procedures. The training shall be adequate enough for the trainees to operate all aspects of the system without any additional help and perform basic maintenance of the system. This training shall be accomplished at NASA, Houston, TX in Building 49 (VATF), National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center, Houston, TX 77058. This training shall be a minimum of two days, or to the time to meet the NASA/JSC personnel?s operational and maintenance skill attainment specified, whichever is longer. This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are required to use the On-Line RFQ system to submit their quote. The On-line RFQ system may be accessed at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin= . The information required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing (e-mail is preferred) not later than June 13, 2003.
