- Description
- The Forest Service requires the relocation and construction/reconstruction of the South Fork Sleeping Child Trail No. 84 located on the Darby Ranger District, Bitterroot National Forest, Ravalli County, MT. The project includes relocation and construction of 1426 ft. of trail tread; and reconstruction which includes tread restoration, native and treated log waterbars, 168 ft. of turnpike, 83 ft. of ditch, rock retaining walls, obliteration, 6.63 miles of log out, 3 grade dips, 10 check dams, and 5 sections of stream channel clearing. This project will be advertised as a written quotation and will be solicited under the Simplified Acquisition Procurement (SAP) rules. The contract time will be 120 calendar days. Work is estimated to start August 1, 2003. Quotes are due July 8, 2003. Estimated priced range is $25,000 to $100,000. The solicitation will be available on approximately June 13, 2003, and can be downloaded from this site at the time.
