- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center has a requirement to procure the following Eaton Corporation parts such as trip units, switches, terminal lugs, shunt trips, enclosures, pushbutton boots, transformers, and circuit breakers. All details concerning item descriptions, part numbers, etc., of the various parts required shall be contained in the solicitation package. It is the Government?s belief that ONLY Eaton Corporation/Specific Industry Control Division, the Original Equipment Manufacturer, and/or their authorized distributors, can provide these parts. Eaton Corporation maintains proprietary rights to all manufacturing and engineering data and drawings required to successfully manufacture these parts. The Government does NOT possess this information to supply with the solicitation package. EQUAL OR ALTERNATE PART NUMBERS SHALL BE ACCEPTED AT THIS TIME. Interested sources that possess the capabilities of obtaining the required technical, engineering and manufacturing data from Eaton Corporation, and possess the capabilities of manufacturing these various parts can submit information regarding their capabilities. This information must include (1) complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the acceptability of the offered parts (i.e., salient physical, functional, and serviceability characteristics), or (2) data that the offered parts have been satisfactorily manufactured for the Government or Eaton Corporation. THIS INFORMATION MUST BE RECEIVED WITHIN TEN (10) WORKING DAYS FROM THE DATE THIS NOTICE IS PUBLISHED. Inquiries/information received after the established deadline shall NOT be considered for this acquisition. The submission of this data for review shall not impede award of this purchase order. The Government does NOT intend to pay for information solicited. The Request For Quotation (RFQ), Number DTCG40-03-Q-50078, shall be available for download by accessing FedBizOpps at www.eps.gov, on or about 29 May 2003. Quotations shall be due no later than 12:00 noon local time, 9 June 2003. Hard copies of the solicitation package shall not be issued from this office. Delivery of all parts shall be F.O.B. Destination to the U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center, 2401 Hawkins Point Road, Baltimore, MD 21226, and shall be made no later than 30 June 2003. See Numbered Note 22. This synopsis is issued pursuant to FAR 6.203-1 and TAM 1206.302. The following statement is for information purposes only: ATTENTION: Minority, Women-Owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE's)! The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short Term Lending Program (STLP), offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
