Description

NA SECOND NOTICE - The project will involve maintenance dredging of the Miami River from Cut-48 at the northwestern end of the Federal Navigation Channel to Cut-1 at Biscayne Bay. Approximately one-half to three-fourths of a million cubic yards of contaminat ed sediment will be removed from the River. The contract will include a Base with Options. The dredging and disposal operations will be conducted according to stringent environmental standards; however, the method of disposal and final fate of the dredge d material will be determined by the successful Offeror. The Government and the Project Sponsor have acquired a parcel of land (approximately 8 acres) in the vicinity of the project that will be made available to the successful Offeror to be used as a sta ging area and/or material handling area. The solicitation will be issued on or about 30 May 2003 and proposals due on or about 30 July 2003. Solicitation will be issued in electronic format only. Offerors will be provided a CD-ROM at no cost. INTERESTED OF FERORS MUST REGISTER ELECTRONICALLY. The registration form is located at https://ebs1.saj.usace.army.mil/ebs/AdvertisedSolicitations.asp. THIS ACQUISITION IS AN UNRESTRICTED PROCUREMENT. Award will be made to the offeror whose proposal represents the best value to the Government. Proposals will be evaluated on technical, past performance and price. There will be a price preference for identified HUBZone small business concerns that comply with the requirements of the solicitation as stipulated in FAR 19.13 07. Estimated construction performance period is 700 calendar days including option work.
