This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are b eing requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number: DAHA04-03-B-0001 Title: Construction of a new communication and training facility (single story). Location: Sepulveda Air National Guard Base Sepulveda, Ca. Issue Date: 21 May 03 Closing Date: 26 June 03 Price Range: Magnitude is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000 Media: CD-ROM and WebPages Contracting POC: Bill Davis Phone: (805) 594-6214 Alternate POC: John Player Phone: (805) 594-6382 Synopsis The USPFO for California is soliciting bids for the project entitled Construct Communications and Training Facility for the Air National Guard located at 15900 Victory Blvd, Van Nuys, California in Los Angeles County. The project will include a proposed co nstruction of reinforced concrete foundation and floor slab with steel framed masonry walls and roof structure. Interior walls and utilities. Fifteen Pre-wired workstations totaling about 5000 square feet. A parking shed that shall be a concrete floor sl ab with pre-engineered metal building. Provide all exterior utilities, communications support, site improvements, and paving. Air Conditioning will be 75 tons. The communications and training facility with a metal sloping roof, masonry exterior, totali ng about 39,159 square feet will be one story. This Invitation for Bid is a solicitation for full and open competition, Unrestricted. However, if a HUB Zone small business submits an offer, all offers will be evaluated by adding a factor of 10 per cent to the price, except that of a HUB Zone small business concern and other small businesses, in accordance with FAR clause 52.219-4 (b). This Invitation for Bid will result in a Firm-Fixed Priced Contract for a construction project at Sepulveda Air National Gu ard Base in Sepulveda, Ca. Solicitation to be issued on or about 23 May 03. The estimated bid opening will be on 26 June 2003 at 1400 (2PM PST). Bid submissions shall be mailed via U.S. Mail, Federal Express, or hand carried into the USPFO for Californi a contracting office in San Luis Obispo, Ca. Proposals from large companies must comply with FAR clause 52.219-9 regarding the requirement for the submission of a subcontracting plan. The plans and specifications will be placed on a CD-ROM and will be pro vided free of charge, to prime contractors only. There will be a pre-bid conference on 10 Jun 2003 at 10:30AM PST, please call (805) 594-6214 to reserve a place for the pre-bid conference in advanced. Any interested contractor must attend the Pre-bid conf erence to obtain a CD with the plans. Only electronic submissions will be accepted. All bidders are required to check the FEDBIZOPS web site daily to be notified of any changes to this solicitation. Notifications of changes and/or amendments shall be made via the Internet. The associated North America Industrial Code System (NAICS) code is 236210.
