- Description
- Contractor is to furnish fresh, shell-protected eggs for commissaries located in the Midwest Region for Defense Commissary Agency. The commissaries require various quantities of jumbo, extra large, large, medium, natural, and organic fresh, shell-protected eggs in white and brown. The Midwest Region includes the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. For the purpose of this solicitation, the 58 commissaries in this region are grouped geographically into twelve groups that will be specified in the solicitation. The estimated annual quantities of the variety of eggs by group are as follows: Group 1 - 1,011,120; Group 2 - 519,480; Group 3 - 710,427; Group 4 - 987,600; Group 5 - 1,031,989; Group 6 - 669,224; Group 7 - 200,000; Group 8 - 102,960; Group 9 - 182,750; Group 10 - 844,408; Group 11 - 738,144; and Group 12 - 1,425,720. The required delivery schedule is 7 days from the order date. An Indefinite Delivery, Requirements Type contract is contemplated with Firm Fixed priced special factor that will adjust the unit price weekly based on the market index. The period of performance shall be for 12 months from date of award plus two 12 months option periods. The SIC code is 0252 and the NAICS code is 112310 for this requirement with a size standard of $10.5 million in average annual gross revenue for the last three fiscal years.
