Description

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) intend to negotiate a noncompetitive contract with Coastal Research Associates. This procurement is a follow on to a current contract, and is a result of the Corps of Engineers requesting that Costal Research Associates conduct a sand compatibility analysis of sand material to be dredged from the Bodie Island Spit portion of the Oregon Inlet Navigation Channel and placed upon the refuge beach. This analysis is necessary to ensure the proposed dredged material disposal on the refuge beach is compatible with the mission and the purpose of the refuge. A determination not to compete this proposed contract has been made Pursuant to 41 U.S. C. 253(c)(1), as implemented by 6.302-1(b)(1)(i), this requirement has been justified and approved in accordance with FAR 6.303 and FAR 6.304. THIS NOTICE IS NEITHER A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION NOR A SOLICITATION OF OFFERS. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely within its discretion.
